I'd say this is the death of Mary Ann, wife of Peter:
Name: Mary Ann Heustice Estimated Birth Year: abt 1816 Year of Registration: 1879 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep Age at Death: 63 District: Lambeth County: Greater London, London, Surrey Volume: 1d Page: 226

Aha. Some good confirmation of the Heustice/Henstice mistranscription problem.
This is obviously a brother of Peter HUISTICE christened in 1819:
DANIEL HENSTICE Christening: 13 OCT 1822 Saint Mary, Lambeth, Surrey, England Father: DANIEL HENSTICE Mother: SARAH Batch No.: P006281

Just a little coincidence here.
Marriages Mar 1838 Green Peter Lambeth 4 175
possible brides:
Sculthorp Mary Lambeth 4 175 Shaw Mary Melicent Lambeth 4 175 Wilkinson Mary Ann Lambeth 4 175
Births Dec 1848 GREEN Daniel James Lambeth 4 314
I don't see Peter Green in a census, but Mr. Green is probably a red herring. ;)

I would think that this is the birth of that Peter:
PETER HUISTICE Christening: 07 MAR 1819 Saint Mary, Lambeth, Surrey, England Father: DANIEL HUISTICE Mother: SARAH Batch No.: P006281

And here is the household in 1841:
Name: Peter Henstice - Ag Lab Age: 20 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1821 Gender: Male Where born: Surrey, England Civil Parish: Lambeth Hundred: Brixton (Eastern Division) County/Island: Surrey Country: England Registration district: Lambeth Sub registration district: Lambeth Church Second
Mary Henstice 25 Peter Henstice 20 Peter Henstice 9 Mo Ebenezer Tuller 20 Harriett Tuller 20 Harriott Tuller 2
Again -- looking at "n"s on the page, like in Holman and Constance (on the facing page), I read that as HEUSTICE, not Henstice.

Aha. That household in 1861 -- Daniel J with father Peter, transcribed as Heaster/Hensters -- here it is in 1851:
Name: Daniel Henstice Age: 3 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1848 Relation: Son Father's Name: Peter Mother's Name: Mary Ann Gender: Male Where born: Surrey, England
Name: Peter Henstice >>> Bricklayer Age: 31 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1820 Relation: Head Spouse's Name: Mary Ann Gender: Male Where born: Lambeth, Surrey, England
Name: Mary Ann Henstice Age: 37 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1814 Relation: Wife Spouse's Name: Peter Gender: Female Where born: City of London Civil Parish: Lambeth Ecclesiastical parish: Lambeth St Mary Princes Road County/Island: Surrey Country: England Registration district: Lambeth Sub registration district: Lambeth Church Second ED, institution, or vessel: 8 Household schedule number: 157
Daniel Henstice 3 Eliza Henstice 8 Mary Ann Henstice 37 Not Named Henstice 1week Peter Henstice 31 Richard Henstice 5
I think these are your people, really.
And the brother Richard increases the possibility that the Daniel Richard born 1886 is your Daniel's son.
Oh, oh, I just dunno. If you search FreeBMD for
all events surname Henstice district Lambeth (no dates)
You get a number of things -- including more than one Peter.
Aha, that 1853 Daniel James Henstice has a double entry at FreeBMD -- HENSTICE was a mistranscription, and the correct version is HEUSTICE.
The others, or some of them, could be mistranscriptions into the GRO itself from the original certificates.
The fact that your Daniel was a bricklayer in 1881, and this Daniel's father Peter was a bricklayer in 1851 -- it just looks like too much of a coincidence.

You're welcome Darren! No answers I'm afraid, but things to mull.
I might just suggest getting that 1886 Daniel Richard Heustice birth certificate.
He could have been your Daniel's first child, died in infancy. It could be worth seeing who the parents were.
(Although he does look more like one in a series of Heustice children born exactly every 2 years from 1882 to 1894, all in Lambeth except for one in Wandsworth.)

An interesting birth to go with the Daniel Heustice:
Births Sep 1886 Heustice Daniel Richard Lambeth 1d 353
-- edit - he died the next year
but the date doesn't match your Daniel Jr.
I think with that I'm going to leave you to mull for now -- just not having any other brilliant ideas!

Okay, 1861.
I read the surname as ... well, it's really hard to say.
Heuston or Houston.
The household is difficult to understand in the original (no relationships are shown), but Ancestry has made a complete hash of it.
It seems to be Peter and his three children. Daniel is a son (on the next page from Peter). Peter is a bricklayer.
Name: Daniel J Heaster Age: 15 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1846 Relation: Son Father's Name: James Mother's Name: Elizabeth (no; nonsense) Gender: Male Where born: Lambeth, Surrey, England Civil Parish: Lambeth Ecclesiastical parish: St Mary the Less County/Island: Surrey Country: England Registration district: Lambeth Sub registration district: Lambeth Church First Household schedule number: 176
William Baker 47 Daniel J Heaster 15 Eliza Heaster 18 Sarah Ann Heaster 10 William Heaster 15 Peter Hensters 42
The others shown in the list at Ancestry are completely unrelated, in completely separate households.

Not much help, eh? ;)
If we go with my theory that Sarah and Daniel weren't married ...
This is the best match for Daniel Jr's birth:
Births Dec 1880 Cruse Daniel James St. Saviour 1d 164
To match that surname, we have -- just musing now, remember:
Marriages Sep 1875 CRUSE Sarah Ann Wandsworth 1d 874 MASLIN William Wandsworth 1d 874 Urquhart Rose Wandsworth 1d 874 Urquhart William Wandsworth 1d 874
A bit of a dead end, I think. I suspect that Sarah Ann was born 1857.
