I've just tried an IGI search for you but nothing found on your Mabel. Do you know if there is a Caribbean connection? |

There are also a lot of Walronds in Devon and Somerset on the IGI |

So is walrond a middle name, and Trengrouse the last name ? |
|||
|
robertpplane | Report | 28 May 2008 18:59 |
I would say so. Trengrouse is a West Country sounding name and it is possible that her parents came from there. Along with all the Walronds in that area you might find that her mother's maiden name was Walrond. |

the Mabel Walrond on 1891 census may be a mistranscription or enumerator error. |

It mentions Eliza Walrond who I imagine must be Mabel Trengrouses grand mother on her mothers side. |

By the way, yet another mistranscription on Ancestry: your Mabel was born in Putney - there is no such place as Patney! |

The husband of Eliza B. Walrond never seems to be mentioned . Eliza B. always seems to mentioned as HEAD on all the censuses. There is a death index showing Eliza died in 1904 and the B stands for Bell. |
