Please could you help as I have been looking for Thomas Halliday who left England for Jamaica. I know only that he died there and his daughter Jane was born there and came back and was married in South Shields in 1850 and her marriage cert states of full age. In 1851 census her age makes her DOB 1829. I presume Thomas or his unknown wife came from the Shields area. Regards EMM |

Debs could Thomas Halliday be be on a liner to New York around 1825ish? As Jane was married in 1850 would she be travelling back to England around 1845? Please could you help |
