Find Ancestors

Let me start again.

I am looking for my friend Sally Ridgeon MMn Harvey (think) who was born 23rd may 1928 to find out about her family.
Her mum is Emma and she married a James (fred) and had these children, Maud, Sarah-Jane and Betty.
Emma's mum and dad are Nelson and Emma Harvey, Emma born in 1880's and died 1950's? born in Southampton and they lived in East ham area. Who are Sally's nan and grandad.

Sorry was Sallys maiden name Harvey? I know her married name is Ridgeon. :-)

Vera i presume it must be and i just spoke to my mum who lives next door to her and she said Sally is Sarah-Jane, arghhhhhhhhhh why didnt she tell me that in first place.

I think to be able to go back with any degree of certainty you will need to ask Sally if it would be possible for you to have a look at her birth certificate.

If Sarah married a Ridgeon then surely her maiden name would be the same as her dads and not her mum's which was Harvey

So Emma Harvey Married a James ?

Its poss there wont be a marriage cert as cant see one for Nelson Harvey. and there was talk of illigitamancy Your friend needs to go backwards one step at a time by getting her parents marriage cert , this will give their ages and fathers names and then we can go back further , Maybe the birth found in 1902 is Emma's but I would get the marriage cert to see if age tallies.
