Hi Kylie
These Allison's are all coming up in Hotham:
Albert Heny Allison Sarah Amelia Allison Lillian Camilla Allison Harold Mannington Vernon Allison Ethel Charlotte Allison Elsie Flora Allison Ellen Troubridge Allison Henry Allison (1909) Charles Edward Allison Caroline Allison Albert Edward Allison
Let me know which ones if any are family members and I shall get the address and occupations for you.
Found these 4 possibilities:
1936 - John Henry ALLISON at Gilbert Street Latrobe Wilmot Tasmania "no occupation"
There appear to be quite a few Allison's in Wilmot Tasmania.
And
1936 - John ALLISON 92 Queens Road H.P Townsville Queensland Occupation: Station Manager (at the same address is Elsie Allison)
1930 - John Allison - Percy Street Ingleburn NSW - Labourer (Margaret Allison also at Percy Street)
1930 John Allison Junior - Macquarie Fields Ingleburn New South Wales - Labourer (Ethel Beatrice Allison also at Macquarie Fields)

Hello Danielle,
Thank you for your kind offer. I am trying to find address details of Henry CULL who emigrated soon after 1905 to Australia. He was a Ship's Cook and lived in Burwood district, New South Wales, where his wife Alice died in 1921. Please can you see if you can find him in about 1919/20 and again at the end of your timespan circa 1936? If you are able to help with either of these two dates then it would be very much appreciated. Best wishes. Jeff.

Hello Jeff
1930 NSW
There is only the one Henry CULL showing at Tabbo Station Morundah Riverina NSW - Occ - Station Hand.
Just below him on the index is Alfred CULL at Urana Riverina NSW -Occ - Labourer.
1936 NSW - same as above
Henry CULL Station Morundah Riverina NSW - Occ - Station Hand.
Also on same page:
Annie Sarah CULL - Morundah - Home duties
Jane CULL - Morundah - Home duties
John CULL - Morundah - Home duties
William Arthur CULL - Yamma Station Morundah - Station hand
Not sure if any of these are relevant. Also for NSW the index only cover 1930/1936. Let me know and I will search other states. I found a death record for Henry CULL in 1958 in Newcastle (parents William and Alice) is this your Henry?
Best Wishes
Danielle

Hello Danielle, Thank you for your reply and for searching. Unfortunately that entry is not him, which leaves me as puzzled as ever!! Henry's wife was Alice and his parents were George and Mary. What I have is Henry married in the UK and had two sons there (Lester Hurley CULL born 1904 and Edward Harry CULL born 1905 and died 1975 in New South Wales). I do not know enough to take you up on your kind offer of searching other states, especially as Henry was a merchant seaman living in Sydney so may have just not been listed. However, it would be good if you could search the 1930s NSW electoral roll for his son Edward Harry CULL please. Best wishes, Jeff

Fingers crossed this is Edward (and by any chance could your Henry be Henry George CULL and known as George? you will see why I ask below)
1930 (Canterbury)
Edward Harry CULL - 100 Bay View Avenue Undercliffe. Occ - Labourer.
1936 (Canterbury)
Edward Harry CULL - 100 Bay View Avenue Undercliffe - Occ - Labourer *** and on the next line is Norman George CULL - 100 Bay View Avenue Undercliffe - Occ - **MARINE STEWARD** (no sign of Norman George in the 1930)
Also not sure if this is relevant but I found a George CULL in the 1930 and 1936 with occupation shown as Merchant!
1930/1936 George CULL - Kashmir, Raglan Street Mosman - Occ - Merchant (at same address is wife Lily Margaret CULL (nee Nash d. 1954 in Ryde age 66) they married in Sydney in 1921)
Also I found 3 death records for Cull with parents names as George and Mary - *Gus Cull d. 1958 Balmain **George Cull d. 1950 Chatswood (Could this be George of Kashmir, Raglan Street Mosman???) ***Fred Cull d. 1942 Ashfield
Hope this is of some help and I havent caused too much more confusion!

Hi Danielle - I would like if possiblr to trace where Richard Wingrove Corby and wife Mary Elizabeth (nee Davison) were in their early years in Australia. Mary Elizabeth was known as Mamie. They emigrated either 1922 or 1923 and lived I believe in the Newcastle area somewhere. They had with them a toddler called Richard. They later went on to have two more sons - James and I believe John (John died). Thank you.

Hi Danielle
I'm looking for Annie Riddell Brock, b. 1857 in Leith, Scotland. She vanishes from her hotel manageress job after the 1891 Scotland census.
I'm hoping that she washes up in Sydney by 1901, as that's where her brother eventually headed for.
Thanks Alistair
