Hi Guys, i have done everything i possibly can on my mission to find the anscestors of Sidney Grant but have failed miserably and wondered if someone could pls lend a hand. Sidney Grant 1913 St Helier, Jersey. His wife (i say his wife but cant find a marriage entry) was Violet Peachey 1915, Lambeth London. They lived in Southampton, Hampshire from at least the late 40s. They had 3 children, the eldest born 1950. Sidneys mother was Mary Mythen c1889 Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Eire. On finding his birth Cert Sidney found he was christened Sidney Mythen. A member of the family found a marriage cert which revealed that Sidney had in fact been married before. The cert later dissappeared. I have managed to trace his mother (thats a story in itself!) But as to the rest of it, i cant find anything. All contributions gratefully excepted! Sue |

I believe Grant was the father. Regarding Sydneys first marriage, there may be some half siblings out there somewhere. |

Its all a bit of a mystery. The fact that he was married before, which clearly he was bacause a member of the family found the marr cert which must have stated widowed. It was never talked about and obviously meant to be kept a secret. Shame to dig it all up really but hey! i cant help myself!!! tee hee |
