i have a death cert for my great grandmother eliza searle widow of daniel searle
this was in 1876 present at the death was elizabeth chapple
also informant she is given as a cousin of the deceased
which i beleve to be either elizas or her belated husband so if anyone can assist in tracing elizabeth chapple would be appreciated

David, where did the death take place? Need as much info as you've got to be able to find her.

Do you know if Elizabeth Chapple was married? If not we don't know if Chapple was her maiden or married name.

I think if you want to discover the family relationship between Eliza and Elizabeth you will need to get their marriage certificates so you know both their surnames for certain.

If Elizabeth Chapple was Elizabeth Seaward, she was christened 1830 in Seaton and Beer and her parents were Robert Seaward and Hannah Batten married Seaton and Beer 1824, it seems.

If she was Elizabeth Turner, she was christened 1829 in Seaton and Beer and her parents were Robert Turner and AHA AHA Frances Partridge married Seaton and Beer 1825.

I think that is the cousinship.

Elizabeth Chapple was Elizabeth Turner 1829 the daughter of Frances Partridge.

Eliza Searle was Eliza Partridge 1811.
