For nearly 20 years have tried to find grandfather named William Hotchon. Supposedly married to grandmother Barbara Alice. Her married name was Hotchon. She later married a second husband Fred Eales in 1918. My father was born in 1915. So he died in the intervening period. I have looked on all English and Scottish census lists. Even U.S. lists. It's an unusual and rare surname. Can anyone suggest where to look. I suspect he didn't exist which means his name may never be known. Thanks in antipation. |

Fathers name was on my fathers birth certificate and he was listed as a merchant mariner and I believe that he would not need to be actually present at childs registration. He may have been at sea! |

2 people have a William Hotchon in their trees, and seem to have Barbara Irwin also. Have you tried contacting them? |
