I am trying to research my husband's great grandfather. His name was Edward Brown, I don't know when or where he was born all I do know is that he married a Florence maud Proctor in Spilsby in 1901. I know that they had aleast five children two of them I know thier names. One was John Hubbard Brown born 1907 and the other was Florence Hubbard Brown born 1908/9. |

The marriage cert will tell you his age, his father's name (if he knew him) and his father's occupation |

The lady who is the head in the 1911 census is Florence Maud Proctor's sister. So I presume that Florence was born in the same area. When i was looking on ancestry one day i found a Florrie Proctor living with Edward Brown but i cannot remember which census it was. |

Would you like to try to find her yourself in 1881? |
|||
|
Flick | Report | 26 Jul 2010 22:15 |
This MAY be her sister in 1891 - although the age is a bit 'out' compared with 1911 |

I have found three in the 1881 census. Out of those three it looks like it could be the one in the Caistor Union Workhouse as she is there with her sister Mary. |
