I doubt very much much if he would interview. It was a struggle for him to remember some things as his health is poor so I cannot be 100% sure of reliability. I was just amazed at what casual conversation could bring up.
Thanks for the Richard Coleman clarification. The names did not seem to add up.

Ok called Bank Croft Library for George Reynolds.
He was living at 289 Cambridge Heath Road, London. Sadly it appears he was a lodger.
There are no records from 1940 to 44, this data is from 1939, he was living with 3 unrelated people.
I cannot also find him via a death on any tree, so we are stuck and back to square one.

I have just upgraded my membership to Curious Fox. I will put out a geographical message and then post on all the individual names. Anyone will be able to reply to me direct. I will then pass on the relevant information.

They would only allow me to add the one post so I could not add the research done on here to add maiden names, spelling variations etc. However it may get some attention.

That's a great idea Christine! Tell us where to find it?
-- just did. At curiousfox.org.uk, search for town or village "bethnal green", it's top of the list.
Higginson ... I must have got half-way through that one and wandered ...
I have a horribly busy week on.
If anybody wants to copy the master list into a new post with updates, please do!!
I've heard from a distant rellie of Jessie (Sharman) Asser, who did know the details of the disaster and her death.
(Good grief, I just looked at my inbox and realized I have a PM from Pauline Fowler! Not about this, just the usual TTF. I'm afraid to open it. ;) )

PAPWORTH
another contact (Janice I think you are in contact with Sue about the Papworth's) I have opened the tree for Trevor.
From Trevor I have Henry Papworth in my tree and his wife Rosina who died in the Tube disaster. I have also been told that their daughter aged 4 was found on a park bench. Can you tell me any more about them or open your tree for me please.
Regards.

Re Papworth, I had contacted both Sue and Trevor but i am not sure that they are in contact with each other. Will p.m them to check the name on "search trees" so they can contact each other if they want. I have also heard from Heather re Maud Branch. She didn't think i had the right connection to her family but i have expained my findings to her and now wait to see if she gets back to me. She has said that her cousin Iris May Perryment died in the Disaster. It has got family found for her .If Heather gets back to me and i have found the right link then Maud's mother and i think Iris's grandfather were brother and sister. Will update when confirmed

I have just had a message from Curious Fox. They are trying to work out if they can build a page for the Disaster as well as keep a general message on the Bethnal Green page. They will also be able to arrange surname links. They are just working on the logistics.

Wow, Christine, that sounds great!! I've never heard of Curious Fox but will certainly go and investigate now.
Thank you for that, I'm really glad this subject has inspired so many of you, Sandra the secretary of the Trust is amazed and delighted too.
I will try to collate what you've done so far and show it to her on Sunday.
There's a showing of the film ‘It’s A Lovely Day Tomorrow’ (a 1970s film about the disaster) at 2.30 p.m. Sunday 22nd March 2009 at The Jewish East End Celebration Society, Oxford House, Derbyshire Street. (just off Bethnal Green Road) if anyone's interested.
Tickets are £15 each to include the tea and an old time sing song and can be purchased from Clive Bettington on 07941 367 882 ( c.bettington @ jeecs . org . uk ) or W. English & Sons, 464A Bethnal Green Road.
If I've missed any questions guys I'm sorry I've not had much time to come online so please PM me or re-post or be patient, I'll get to read thoroughly on Saturday evening all being well, I'm working til then.

The advantage of Curious Fox is that you can search for surnames or places. I often find I get matches when I search for XXXXXX genealogy or XXXXXXX at Place so anyone searching our surnames or Bethnal Green should find it. You can be a free member and leave posts or a paid member and contact people. It was only £5 so well worth it.

Victoria - I think it's best not to put GR members' full names in the thread. Yes, they're mainly accessible by doing tree searches, but that's not quite the same thing as putting names on the boards. We didn't tell them when we PMed them that we'd be doing that.
Anybody else who has, too -- first names, maybe, but edit out surnames?
I'm afraid there may be some duplicating going on. I had already sent messages to all of those names about the Asser family, for instance, and have had correspondence with one (who had more information than we have about the family's connection with the disaster). I apologize if I had not yet passed on the info about the reply, this is a horribly busy (and stressful) week for me. That person has been in touch with others to pass on the info and provided me with another contact yesterday that I will pass on to Anna today. Ah, but maybe I'm misunderstanding, and your PMs were just tree-opening messages.
Anna -- for showing Sandra -- you just need Victoria's spreadsheet, I think! ;)
