"Try anything once", advice in my days of youth from older person, except "Putting your neck in a noose". Followed the advice. Results, not in chronological order but pleased I kept out of that noose. Swimming, cycling, photography, Y.H.A., watercolours, marriage with issue, countryside rambling, family car driver although do not own a car today, (too old to drive) I think it should be age limited. Enjoy gardening & have a greenhouse. Almost forgot genealogy. How could I after 20 years ? Attended two schools. Both elementary. Full employment 1939 - 1980, involving 24 hour round the clock turns of duty. Some of that overseas in the Antipodes. Had recreational trips to Canada & Europe and been a church choirboy in Britain. As a youth had a paper round also kept rabbits , guinea pigs. and once
owned a golden cocker spaniel named "Raq" after the spaniel of the Rev Bramwell Evans. Caldervale

Hi All
I am 100% unhappy with the support I get from genesreunited for technical issues and now at a stage of cancelling my membership.

The problem I have is often my GED file freezes when processing a new upload. Ie it sits in the "your tree is currently being processed”” for days on end and generally happens about 1- 2 time a month. Many times I have contacted the support team

As I am based in Australia there is no afterhours support for us from England during our day hours. Does anyone less have the same problem?
Thanks :-(

I'm trying to find out what happened to my Father Jesse Amatt also known as Jesse Wright, I think he moved to the London area many years ago and will be around 89 years old now if he is still alive, but I can't find a death for him. Also I want to find a adopted Brother born in Derby in 1958, named on his birth certificate Christopher Amatt

My late father was a soldier in the 1914 - 1918 conflict. He served with the infantry
in the K.O.Y.L.I. and trained to use a machine gun. No medals except those issued to many in the same circumstances, just three in total. Apparently anyone able to use a machine gun could volunteer to fly in aeroplanes to use the weapon in flight.
Dad did say the day the opportunity arose the wind became too strong for flying and flights were cancelled. Quite different to the 1939 - 1945 conflict. No flying K.O.Y.L.I., engaged in aerial combat at that time. Dad was wounded in the leg, twice in the same leg, the second time being a, "Blighty" and was returned home.
I remember only too well the cramp he suffered from those wounds for the remainder of his life. Caldervale

Hi everyone .... This is going to be a long shot, my dad and two brothers joined up and went to war the 1914/1918 first world war, alas my two uncles never came home they was killed, so I am trying to find if there is any record of their deaths that I can look up, as I am now 79 and there is no-one left to ask, and I only found out about these uncles roughly 2/3 years ago dad never spoke of them and he went on to fight in the 1939/45 war came home injured then went back and was missing presumed killed but thankfully he did come home so I am asking is there a place I can look for these men(my uncles ) to put on our family tree any help will be great fully received thank you in anticipation Whiteley nee Cardwell

I am looking for the war memorial, on which my Great-Uncle, William Lamb may be listed on.William was born in Co.Durham, maybe in Lanchester, although he enlisted into the army I think in Darlington. He served with the 5th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, and was killed in action in April 1917.His army number was 200510.

Hi I have been searching for my father who was in the Royal Artillery as a gunner in the second world war. He has a very unusual surname which is on my birth certificate, his full name is Jack Henry Sans. As you can see there is no letter D in Sans. This has made it extremely difficult to obtain any information, as he does not seem to exist in any birth death or marriage list. The Ministry of Defence will not release any information to me at all, not even his place of birth as they say they have to wait until his possible age would be 115 years old.As I am 72 years old now I could be dead before they release the information even though he is on my birth certificate as my father. Children of spermatogenesis donors seem to have more rights than me. Can anyone help please.
