Except reading the e mail reply Whizz got theya re back to sending out a general reply that doesn't actually answer the question asked i.e. why haven't the messages been opened. We didn't actually ask why the books have not been sent out but that is what the reply to the email was.

I had originally thought uh oh too late missed out.

However, by the number of us that have messages unopened it looks like your Bookclub person has lost their letter opener.

I do pass my books on as well.

I was hoping that we would be getting "Go set a Watchman" sometime. Didn't pass on my "To Kill a Mocking Bird" some books are too precious.

I am not sure if the community manager checks the hobbies board as well as others but there is a thread on there now regarding June's offer for the Genes book club. None of the messages sent seem to have been opened.

Could I suggest that, if there is a problem with the book club, to save confusion could somebody go onto the thread on the hobbies board and explain please. We know that once names are chosen it becomes a Penguin problem, but if the messages are not opened, how did the names in those messages get included?

We are grateful for the free books of course and hope that the club is still running. :-)
