I have verified my Grandmothers birthdate by register of births, but it doesn't, give parents, do I have to get the birth certificate?

Would depend if a common surname or not.

Does the birth entry give mothers maiden name - this was added to the indexes at the end on 1911

But, as GB says, this is not really the Board for that question.

This is the Board for making Suggestions to GR staff for improvements to the site.
