The site will be temporarily unavailable tomorrow morning between 8.30 and 9am. This is so that we can release some very exciting updates to both the site and the family tree.

Why do they insist on calling them exciting?? Are they all jumping up and down, because I fail to see why changes to a website cause such a fuss. It must be an age thing!!

Oh Genes! Forget the "very exciting updates". Fix the problems first. I would find it very exciting if I didn't see the purple error message again or if I could access My Threads first time.

i have just jumped on the boards and thought I had entered the beta site. Even though I entered from my bookmark to the "old site".

Well it's still the light grey colour for the background and doesn't look like any suggestions from the members have been taken on board.

Well it's not the original bright white background.

You would expect it to be the same as yesterday's beta site as that is the point of beta testing.

you are right it's not the original colour but I'm pretty sure there were a number of posts from members who had access to the beta site and pointed out the need to change the colour for old eyes.

Joy, did you make your 1 Aug 2012 08:38 post from the beta site?

It was still available while the main site was being updated.
