Been trying to find a couple of old threads either by Advanced Search or the Search box on Genealogy Board

Only getting two pages of results every time I try

Has this been altered to restrict the results to two pages ?

Hi Maureen, please could you use the new 'quick search' box? Here is the link to it - http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/quicksearch. You'll also see it in the left hand column under 'Tools'. This will give you more than the 40 matches you have been seeing using the search box at the top of the message boards.

Why should Quick Search produce more results ?

It's not a stupid question! Quick search works in a different way to the search box you see at the top of each message. If you try it you'll see what I mean. At the moment you have seen only 40 matches each time you search the message boards. Now use the 'quick search' box and try searching for the same thing again. This will give you more results and hopefully with improved accuracy too.

We are aware that the box at the top of the message boards didn't always give you great results. We are trying to improve this and the new 'quick search' box is the first phase of improvements.
