Suggestions

The 'announcement' stickies on the gen board are taking up too much of the first page. Could they be kept to the announcement board please except for the current day and, of course our bereavement threads.
We don't need the intial announcement plus day 1, day 2, day 3 etc. We should, by now be in the habit of checking the announcement board as that is what it is for.

I was about to put up a thread to the same effect.

GR team, please leave General CHAT for members to do just that and only have bereavement stickies, when requested, on that board.
SIX GR stickies make the board look like a website notice board and duplicating threads is against Ts&Cs.

Can announcements not just go on the announcements board? I had thought that was the purpose of such a board.

so much as we hate the vast number of stickies that are appearing in this way ....................


I bet nothing will happen until after New Year ....................


by which time, we will have seen individual stickies for Days 1 through 12. :-P

Agreed...it's marginally more irritating than a board full of A-Zs....and that's going some.

Please move them elsewhere it's a pain having to plough through them to get to something I'm more likely to want to read.

I think many threads are removed automatically, not by a person



that is the only explanation for the way some are removed that should not be removed.



either that or they used to farm it out to a "company" somewhere ........ both GR and sister company Friends Reunited used to use these "moderators" overnight and at weekends that had no idea what they were doing!

I'm just being a complete cynic in not expecting anything to be done until after the event, because there is no-one there able to do anything



There might be one person in answering the telephone




we could flood them with emails complaining about it ..... then they'll certainly know on Tuesday morning when they come back to work

Getting a bit fed up with scrolling down the General Chat board because of all the stickies

By the way, day three is missing from announcements.

It wasn't that long ago that certain vocal members were asking for more use of stickies. They were also asking for announcements to be made on ALL the boards, so that there would be no chance of anyone missing them.....!

Oh, well, you will never please all of the people all of the time or even some of the time, for that matter.

Would you not like to see day three, IGP?
