I noticed today a thread had been reported, because a date of birth was mentioned I guess. |

I agree too. It would also be good if it was mentioned as to why an edit took place. |

As there are no moderators I do not think the solution is to just whooosh the whole thread, when a lot of work has gone into it, and hopefully the poster would return when he had got copies of certs ect. |

Phil can amend a title on here belonging to someone else so why can't the person who reviews the reported thread just take out the offending date ect?? |

Why is it that no one admits to it either? |

I would be against anyone other than the original poster being allowed to edit. |

I think it would be quite within reason for GR to edit any date or data which is against policy rules and to explain the reason as to why they have done it. |

This is the only forum I use where you can edit yourself, Quite often see, (Filtered word) or (content removed by modorator) in the place of something that should not be there. |

"Rootschat (which has moderators) is able to delete any offending message/reply in a thread without deleting the whole thread so why can Genes not do this." - genes reunited have done this, in my experience, in the past. |

I see the thread in question is still under review |

Jax, correct, yes that is what I said. I would be against anyone other than the original poster being allowed to edit. If the post has broken the site T's and C's then it should be removed in its entirety. |

I must admit to liking the way Rootschat use moderators. They give fair warning in their T. & C.'s that posts may be edited: |
