Hi everyone, as you know there have been ongoing performance issues for several months now. Our most experienced Genes developer, Toby, has been working on this for the last week. He has made some improvements so that changes which are normally made via our live database are now actioned in the background. This means that the live database isn't drawn on so much, which is why performance has been affected. This is a work in progress and Toby will continue to make changes over the coming week. We'd like to thank you for alerting us to the problems you've experienced. We are really sorry it has taken so long to resolve. However, you should start to see an improvement. Please bear with us as these changes will be gradual, but we're confident that you will find the site is working much better than it has been.

Hi Sylvia, yes I saw it this afternoon. I must say that the site has been a lot quicker today, so hopefully things should be better from now on. Like you say, YIPPEEE!

Yes I had spotted it and I have the feeling that Genes may really be getting there.
