Really getting sick and tired of seeing error messages on this site.

Error message - click on logo - wait for Home Page to finish loading - click on community - error message.

When you do get onto community - click on a board - error message.

Must be due at least a one month extension to my membership for putting up with all the problems on this site.

Remeber this site only works because of the help given by members.

At the moment the beta site is the only one working for me without error messages.

It's very frustrating for all the members and the way it's going GR will have no members left.

so far I have managed to open 2 threads (this is the second) on .co.uk


AND submitted 1 post to the other thread (for which I just might get a ban :-D )

Does that mean that members are not supposed to advise people to contact the support team when they´re having operational problems?

GR's current attitude, including lack of courtesy, towards "older" members suggests to me that they are not bothered about keeping "older" members. :(

Well for the first time in yonks I am mostly happy with it. It is now far from true that the site "is a joke etc". However the default color/fonts scheme would be a mega major irritation if I did not know how to fix it.

This is roughly what should have been released Q1 2012.

I have no idea how any commercial site expects paying users to "get used" to something as basic as the color scheme, especially when it is as far out on the left field as the current offering. If Gru do not want users simply to skin the app. then they could offer a choice of schemes, at least three.

Downs: yucky color scheme which is easily enough fixed with a .css script or from the browser menu.
List of shared trees still by number, not A B C etc.
No photo thumbnails on tree, tho poss. the boy/girl logos presage this happening.
Very poor media support.
No embedded urls.
STILL no cousin support.
Maps have gone :permanently :-(
Edit dialog still very clumsy.
New place names list worse than the old one.
STILL only one tree though there are work arounds..
Minor artefacts / unintended objects on tree view.
Threads still show in MyThreads when all posts in that thread have been deleted.
Makes bad assumptions about user screen size. As a result "share trees" menu is partly obscured / not visible at all. Poor design / coding. Similarly edit box falls off screen.

Ups:
Fast
Everything else works and is improved, esp search records / trees.
Print fixed.
Surname summary excellent.
GEDCOM Import/export menu sorted.
Replicated rellies bug fixed.
Flock wallpaper has gone.
I have not had any sign on errors, sign on again, errors when moving board etc in yonks.

Neither up nor down:
So far I have not found anything "exciting" . Guess this is mostly "up".
New logo.
Link to FriendsReunited seems to have vanished.

Did you know that you cannot delete access to others' trees.
I have four more trees that I can view than I have in "my contacts"
Genes suggest that I contact the tree owners and ask them to delete.
Very much like "my threads".

I for one will not be renewing my memership.Up to a few weeks ago GR was doing OK,but is now a BIG LOAD OF GARBAGE.Unable to print my tree,duplcates all over and no feedback from GR
