If you do a search on trees for a four letter surname it appears to list every name which starts with those four letters. A recent search for Mill added in the last two days said that there was just 1. Clicking on this gave nearly 700 entries starting with Millar and ending with Millyard. Other four letter names get similar results. Makes the whole site completely useless for me. I noticed it first about 3 months ago. Reported it several times and just got thanked for my patience each time. I would like my money back. |

If you had read further down this board, you would have seen that this has been posted about on at least 1 other thread. |

I may be wrong...but if i try this out...put the search name in, and you get all the Millard etc...then if you click surname above that you go to the other end ie Millyard etc...click on 'surname' again and you go to MIll... |

Hi Patrick, A while back we only offered exact match on surnames. Due to customer demand, we changed that to display both exact and starting with results. This is not ideal when the name is short. We are currently working on improving the search to provide far more control to the user, and this will hopefully be available soon. Apologies that it is not meeting expectations at this current time. Phil |
