I find it frustrating,the amount of non response,when contacting members,with similar interests .

have you really read this thread, or either of the other two that Ken indicated in the previous post?



There are so many reasons for non-response to a pm, ranging from the person is dead, to the person has lost interest.

OR, and I think this might be the biggest reason for non-reply .......... they have changed their email address without notifying GR

There is nowhere that says anyone MUST respond to any other member asking for contact.


This site is recommended as an excellent place to build a tree for free, and for getting help on the Community Boards (if you are paying a subscription)


Have you checked back in the Messages box, sent items, to see if the other person(s) has actually opened the envelope and read your message?


That's the usual indication that someone has died, or has lost interest OR changed their email address.

There is no concept of a "Defunct Tree" on GR.
