Suggestions

We had exactly the same issue at work with our systems displaying different date time formats and whilst, in an ideal world, it would be very nice to standardise the format, in practice given the development effort to do this retrospectively across an entire database application may not be cost effective.

In the end we settled for a directive to programmers to ensure that whenever they were developing or amending programs they ensured that all dtfs were upgraded to the house standard, otherwise unless there was a proven business risk, they remained as they were.

24 hour clock on postings within a thread

Please correct / correlate the timing of posts.
For instance, I posted on 6 May in a thread, and it shows as:
last post: 6 May 2011 07:54 PM
but , on entering the thread and looking at the last post, the time then shows as
6 May 2011 19:54.

Strange that! At the moment it looks as though on the individual posts it is 24 hour but on the listing it is still 0559.

I'm glad you said that Derek, it is so confusing to see 0415, and the PM is on the second line on my computer so I am thinking 0415, early morning? The 24 hour clock would be better.

tp genesreunited..can you please get your clock sorted?? at the moment it is a mess.........04.16 to me,and to alot of our International friends ia AM not PM..in the same way as 12.45pm is early afternoon not midnight.
Would you please use either the 12 hour clock..ie.4.30pm..or the 24 hour clock 1630....not a meaningless mishmash of both............
