Being a member of Genes has lead to an astonishing find for me. My father died when he was fairly young and was an only child so tracing his family has been very hard with no one to answer the basic questions going back a couple of generations.

I had an email from someone who was in pocession of a family bible, which his father acquired in a house clearance some 20 odd years back. After a few email exchanged it was confirmed it was that of my GR3 grandfather. . This very kind person thought I should have it and this evening kindly 'handed it over'. It is some 173 years old and full of my family history and I can not believe it is sat in my kitchen this evening!! Miracles do happen so dont give up :)
