Teresa With Irish Blood in Me Veins

Teresa With Irish Blood in Me Veins Report 11 Jan 2008 21:25

GenesReunited member Shirley-ann has done it again!

A couple of weeks ago Shirley-ann gave me some addresses on the Elecoral Roll that matched with the informants of my Dad's cousin's death and that of his wife.

I wrote to one of them, Laurence, last week and to-night he phoned me back. He is indeed the grandson of one of my Grandma's sisters!

I'm now waiting for him to locate some family photos that he's gong to share with me via e-mail and I will be sending him the history of our Davis side of the family and family photo's too.

Back in the early summer of last year Shirley-ann also helped me to find my husband's cousins that he never knew he had and we all met up in September. Very emotional but very enjoyable meeting.

Now my children have photos of their grandfather when he was a boy, his 'unknown' sister plus their Gt Grandfather and his brother.

So don't be afraid to write to people that you know are related to your family...you've got nothing to lose...but you could have such a lot to gain. And all for the cost of a stamp!

Shirley-ann is a star....... and an asset to this site.
