SPANISH Birth Certificates

I would just like to say, Maggie, YOU ARE BRILLIANT !!!! After posting a thread enquiring about searching for my Grandfathers Birth Certificate, who was born in Spain, Maggie replied and said she would look into it for me. Maggie came back and said it would be very difficult to obtain a Birth Certificate unless I had the page number, volume no. etc of the entry. I didn't have these, so Maggie suggested I write to everyone in the area that my Grandfather was born that have both his first surname and second surname, and Maggie kindly helped me with my letters and translated them into Spanish for me. And BINGO ..... This week I have heard from a cousin of my Grandfather's - who is 95 years old and a cousin of my Dad's. My Dad's cousin emailed me a photograph of my Dad with my Auntie and Uncle and my Grandmother (taken approx 1960s). I now know that my Grandfather had three half brothers and I now have his Mothers name also. I am absolutely thrilled and I am really excited, and without Maggie I wouldn't have this information as I really was stuck with my Spanish side. Unfortunately the only problem I have is the language barrier as neither relative can speak English, so I'd best start having some Spanish lessons. I've always wanted to learn, so now would be a good time to start.

Once again Maggie, thank you for all your help, I am over the moon. If I can do anything for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards

Jane
