I lost all contact with my Fathers family after he left us when I was 5 years old. I found him in 1986 when I came home for a holiday with my three children. I met my half brothers for the first time but sadly my father died 18 months later. Before coming home again this year I had found an uncle I didn't know about and he was able to give me some details of my grandfather. He died at the age of 25 and I didn't even know his name till my uncle told me. Thanks to Gene Reunited I have been able to find his Birth, Marriage & Death certifictes. I have ordered them now and can't wait to find out more about my family. Two days ago I was looking through Hot Matches and I got a message to say she may have my grandad in her tree. I was given access to her tree and there he was along with lots of inormation about other relatives. I have now found my grandads niece, my cousin, and hopefully will be in personal contact with. I will be eternally gratefull to all those people on GR who helped me in a very big way. I am so happy |
