I also started with my greatgandparents on my late dads side.
Dad had no information on the waldie family except his grandparents children.
It took 2 long years to find my great grandad waldies family in scotland water of leith. James had come to nz some time between 1855 when he was born to 1876 when he married.
If it wasn't for all the lovely help and great tips on how to find them i would still be looking.
One tip which found them was because they were scottish they named their children after their parents and often use mothers maiden names.
I found them yesterday morning yippee!
thankyou
