My mother has gone from only knowing her parents to having an entire family, including a 2nd cousin we have now exchanged visits and photos with. The cousin lives an hour's drive away. From several of the photos it was apparent that Mum's medical condition (not serious but obvious) is inherited although it seems to have skipped a generation or two. I also communicate with a 3rd cousin in England also from Mum's side. I also have new friends here in Australia thanks to GR (they're actually very distant relatives) and are beautiful people. So thanks GR, you do have a great site and wonderful, helpful members. Don't give up the search. Any tiny scrap of information that anyone has must come from and therefore lead to something that someone can use. I will be signing up again next year. Thanks GR Gerry |
