I was contacted recently by a lady who said she had noticed I had named a particular farm in Scotland as being the birthplace of my grandmother, as HER grandmother was also born on that same farm. I saw from the first name and birthdate posted by her that her grandmother and mine were first cousins. Despite the fact that we both have moved to another continent, to my surprise, we live in nearby towns. Having exchanged phone numbers, I called her and had a wonderful visit with her, sharing photos and information. Although we do not resemble each other physically, we both graduated and worked in the same field!
