After more than 20 years chasing roots, trunks, branches, twigs and leaves on our family tree the hard way, we finally discovered Genes Reunited. That was in November 2006. Since then, through this well designed site, we have discovered another 1000+ ancestors & relations in the UK and pushed our (proven) ancestry back to 1672, with a distinct possibility that a fifth cousin's father has a treasure trove in hard copy taking the tree back to 1059. This trove is eagerly awaited! Along the way, I have met some great cousins, re-connected with lost family members, completed my wife's, mother's and paternal grandmother's trees and woken other family members to the need for someone to take over when I go! To all whom I have annoyed, pestered, e-mailed and messaged over the last 10 months, and to the makers of this site, a heartfelt THANK YOU! Bob |
