I am 44 years old , and was raised by my Mother in a single parent family. I spent a lot of time over the years seeking information on my 'deceased' Father, but to no avail. I used to visit Records house in London and search for any clues on their microfiche system....anyone else remember those ! Eventually i gave up, resigned to knowing my Father's name , and also being told that he had died overseas whilst my Mother was pregnant. Then , my eldest son decided to trace his family tree using this site. He badgered me for the subscription fee until i gave in..... In July, i am meeting my Father and his wife, who are flying over from New Zealand.Neither of us had any idea of eachother's existance. I also now have a brother, sister and a whole handfull of nephews and neices ! Thank You to Matty and also to Sheila xx Dont ever stop searching for lost family members...you could just be a click of the mouse away. Good luck to you all. |
