Many many thanks to Genes Reunited and its members for helping me to trace my father, John Barnfield, and members of his family (now my family too). No sooner had I become a member, put in my search, than a reply came immediately. Unfortunately my father was killed in a road accident, but several members of the family remain, including a half-brother I never knew I had, and a cousin and uncle I have spoken to. I have received photographs of my father, my grandmother and half brother which was amazing. I am still pursuing other searches, but such a lot has happened in a weekend!
