Until the 1980s I could not find a migration record for my Great-Grandparents, Jacob Hansen and Bodel Christiansen until a baptism certificate was found showing the surname Hansen Wolff after which I duly found the shipping entry. Within 24 hours of joining GenesR last week, and having searched for Jacob Wolff, I made contact and have found that his 2 brothers and 2 sisters and their parents entered the next year. With the 2 sisters marrying, one brother not having any children, and the other brother keeping the name Wolff, the descendants of two brothers were lost to each other, despite living in the same area. The Wolff family also has the Denmark history and we look forward to sharing photos. Thank you, GenesR |
