Some while ago, I wrote complaining of the complete and utter lack of success I was having in tracing my ancestry. I received numerous emails from people exhorting me not to give up, and also giving me so much extremely useful advice on how I should proceed. I now have a tree showing 183 relatives/ancestors and it's growng daily. I am in contact with an uncle I knew about, and knew where he lived, but whom I'd not seen in 25 or so years, and am in email contact with a second cousin I was completely unaware of. Just a suggestion - if you feel like packing it in - think again before you do. There are lots of helpful people out there who will go out of their way for you. Best wishes, and good hunting. David |
