hi my name is lauren i have been doing my family tree for about a year now. when i started i had know idea where or what i would discover, i had very little to go on. But the one thing i did tell my husband that i would find his father who we only had a name and was not sure if that was even correct, also a few photos of meetings that his mother attended. We managed to identify what the meetings were, and trawled through pages of listings on genes with people with the same name as his alleged father. i contacted a lady who had only registered with genes three days earlier with a person in her tree with the same name. we exchanged info and it was amazing how many coinsidences there seemed to be any way to cut a long story short we did meet three members of the family which were my husbands brother and two sisters who he did not even know existed and his dad is now 93 years old who we are going to see this week. what we discovered is that there are asbsolutely loads of other members of his family who he was never told about or even knew existed. we have sinse exchanged photos and lots of information and even spent six hours talking in macdonalds ha ha all i can say to who ever reads this keep going and nothing is imposible, this is all so very exiting and has changed my families life for ever i would just like to say a big thankyou to dian for being patient with all my questioning and cheers to many happy years ahead i cant wait to meet many more folks in the family. finally a massive thanks to genes reunited for making this all possible. lauren.
