How wierd is this, about 33 years ago my parents moved to a new housing estate in Derby and soon set up freindship with an all new group of freinds and none more so than a young couple ( Linda & Steve) about to have a baby, having been with G.R. for some years now and with a great deal of sucsess. My father decided to join a local family history group and eventually started on my Mothers side of the family, about three days ago (23/01/07) they went to visit their freinds who have long since moved to a new area of Derby (As have my parents), and started talking about the family tree, Linda then said that her sister was also tracing her tree and with this, mentioned a surname which rang bells in my fathers head, after a quick check on his notes they realised that my Mother and Linda appear to share the same G-G-Grandfather,so now it seems that they are 3rd cousins. Have you ever heard of anything so strange, 33 yers ago total strangers and now Cousins !!!!!!!!!! WOW, cheers G.R.
