I cant believe my luck I have for 40 years wanted to find my father and his family, I only plucked up the courage to join GR in Oct 06 I sent an email to a hot match just before xmas and upon my return I had 2 emails would you believe from my sister I learnt within 24 hrs so much of my missing life at first I couldn't take it all in, we have spoken almost everyday on the phone since and I am going to meet them next weekend, the only big down side is that my father died 15 months ago. This has made me realise life is too short if you want to do something do it now don't wait you will one day regret it as I have, but one consulation is that he never hid the fact that I existed and loved me even without really knowing me. I have gone from a family of nothing to a family of about 80 its a wonderful feeling of belonging and I urge anyone searching for lost relatives to keep going don't give up. |
