I joined GR on 10 December 2006, very much an 'ophan' and by 10 January I've got an Aunt alive and well, an Uncle and his wife 4 cousins, with children and children of their own - I visit my Uncle and Aunt and eldest cousin this weekend, now I've got a family. My mother died when I was 3 and I had no photographs or history, now I have an album full and treasured posssessions. My Christmas has come late but all of them at once, and I'm so happy an excited I could skip down the road. I'd like to thank ' Awdrey who was willing to rumage though records, Sally-ann for giving me an address from the elect-roll to which I plucked up courage and found a telephone number and on my first call found Uncle John and Aunt Edna, also Ruth my grandmother taught her to knit and my Aunt Florrie, became her best friend. So that's a happy ending for the 'Firstbrooks' tree,I now hope I can be as successful with the 'Broome' tree. Lorraine
