I have had the most amazing journey since becoming a member of 'gensreunited'. Finding so many branches of my Mums ancestry from all over England 'from Barnard Castle to Birmingham'...it has surprised me as to where they came from and how deeply rooted individual families were until the 'indusrial revolution' which took many to Manchester to meet and I am here as a result...I find it so fascinating....even the names have been interesting....the christian name 'Dessey' + varients seem to have been passed down through the ages 'I had never heard of this name till researching my tree' a great name...after having so many Marys and Charlottes LOL. Again thankyou to all whom have helped and encouraged me during this ongoing journey....hopefully will be able to find more about my fathers family soon 'chipping away at it a little at a time' ;-) Happy searching everyone....
