I was trying to get info on a great aunt who emigrated to Australia. I posted a message on a board and with 2 days I had 2 replies advising me to use the South Australian Library service as I had an Adelaide address. They found the marriage for me and referred me to S Australian family history Society. It cost me 30$au and they had found her death notice and an illegitimate daughter. After spending another 30$au I am in contact with my great aunt's grandson and know that his mother is still alive. I never expected to get anywhere this far with my unknown Australian family. |
