After my mother in law's death in 2004, we decided to try and trace my husband's father. Within a few days, we made contact with his family in Bootle. They had traced their family - Barwise back to the 12th Century. The main family is based in the West of Lake District. Sadly, my husband's father was a bigamist, which we did already know, but through his family who are warm and friendly, we were able to trace another son, and have had a couple of reunions. We were really glad to find him, and are all keen to discover a daughter born about 1946 in or around Bromsgrove. of a man called Barwise, He used the names Edward and Keith, but his real name was Edgar Harold Barwise. His sons are both called Keith Rodney, so a grandson with this name would probably be significant. He was not a bad man and was much loved. He was, or wanted to be an artist, and had some talent. He was a nurse during the war. He died in 1980.
