This is just a note to thank all those who helped me track down my father’s family (of whom he knew nothing of for 72 years!). I had posted a message at the beginning of June to locate my father’s mother (Marjorie Kathleen Shirley Head) and half-brother (George Roger Head). From the replies received I was able to find that his mother had married and become Marjorie Faulkner and had gone on to have 6 further children. The one brother I contacted then told us about 'George' known as Roger Faulkner (of whom my father has been in contact with since). So now, my mother and father have booked a trip to the UK, and have talked with other brothers and sisters, nieces etc. One special memory I will have is being able to show my father the first picture he'd ever seen of his mother (sent to me by email from my new found cousin) so exciting. Thanks again Genes Reunited. |
