I have to say that I have found a lot of second cousins with whom I have been able to exchange information. One lovely man has taken one branch of my family back to the 16th century. I must have been very fortunate because I have hardly ever not had a reply from people I have contacted. but I always write a proper message, never rely on the automated messages on here. Some people have joined in the past, put their tree on and obviously now don't look on here which is why some people may not get replies. And I never just write to people and ask to see their tree, without explaining the possible connection fully. Ann Glos |
