LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 20 Jul 2006 19:03

Linda originally from West London I joined about 15 months ago and found a distant cousin very quickly, she shared a lot of info as I knew little beyond my grandfather(paternal). And others too some on my own, others through HOT MATCHES (much maligned) and others passed sideways too. I have since found my cousins, be they distant, in Canada and Australia. Much help especially at the begining from members on Tips and Records. Thanks to the IGI and Hugh Wallis batch numbers, I traced my FIL family, that he knew nothing about as he was born in British India and left to join the Army in 1939......... never to see his Mum again. I found she'd been born in India and traced relations back to a Count Von Cluge in about 1790. Thence to family in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and others too many to recount here. Yes it is worth the fee and I still use all the boards for my research and for a break and chat too.Become a fully paid member to get the best from this site. Recomendations of sites to use and software to buy are priceless too............... others who have actually used them !!!!!!!!!!! Back to research and friends now Take care everyone and enjoy thats what life is for . Past history shows us how hard it was for some. Regards Linda
