Deb ( Steel City) Report 20 Jul 2006 18:22

I joined GR over a year ago when I decided to get more involved in finding my hubbies ancestors. I accidentally stumbled across this site and after checking the exchange rate lol decided it might be worth a go helping to locate these lost ancestors. I have found GR to be a great wealth of information and full of helpful people. I have found my hubbys line back to the 1700's as well as discovering that my own ancestors were linked to the UK. I have been fortunate to have made contact with several others also searching the same families and we now correspond through the other sources of cyper space as well as this site. Plus another bonus was meeting a lot of new, interesting and wonderful people. If it weren't for this site I would have missed out on getting tons of information on our family history. Also, being from Canada I wasn't particularly inempt with the geography of any of the UK, but through the tips boards and records board I have posted queries and a slew of wonderful people have always been willing and able to help. Thank you GR and to all those who take the time to help Deb
