Carol Report 11 Jul 2006 22:06

I joined GenesR in March and very quickly found my grandmother's birth family who we assumed she had lost contact with..............not a bit of it.............they knew of her and I found what seems like hundreds of relatives through one or 2 contacts made from a post within a couple of weeks. Now I have a second cousin in USA and a 4th cousin or 2 in Oz that I've made contact with. I also found a cousin of my Dad's (from his mother's birth family) who is 82 and lives within 12 miles of me! It is marvellous to have a living contact with my father's past. What I have not yet found is my grandma's adoptive family but I have contact with someone with a very promising lead. Watch this space!
