At 28, I have never known much about my dads side of the family. His mum and dad had both died and I didn't realise there were other members of his family as he never really mentioned anybody. I never put my family tree on Genes Reunited before as I didn't see the point due to only knowing one side of my family. But within days of my sister- in-law putting our family tree on Genes Reunited a cousin of my dads got in touch. I am now in touch with a few members of my family and have been learning about the family history, which is very interesting indeed. I never thought I would know my dads side of the family but it seems that life is full of surprises. I wish all of you out there looking for your own families luck. Keep lookin becuase you may just find them :) Emma |
