Got tempted on to the site last week by my daughter-in-law who is constructing our family tree. Whilst on line, talking to her on the phone and learning how to negotiate the site, I idly put in a search with the name of a very old friend with whom I had lost contact over 30 yrs. ago. To my amazement her name came up twice - once with her as the tree owner and again with her son as the tree owner. Year of birth, place of birth (abroad) and name spelling were indisputable. I sent a message to them both. Her son replied first and now we are in contact again - both very excited and many years to catch up. Turns out we have both been wondering about one another over the years. So not only is this site good for families - it works for long lost freinds as well - better than Friends Reunited because where we grew up and went to school there is no possibility of school input.
