Up until five days ago I knew virtually nothing about my paternal grandmother except an approximate spelling of her maiden name, the fact that she was probably either a first or second generation Irish migrant and that her mother was of Spanish decent. The last one remains to be proven (more research required) but the first two were completely wrong as an hours worth of searching provided me not only with the names of my great great grandfather but also with hundreds of cousins that I never knew existed! Mark me down as impressed!
