I have been trying to trace the marriage of my great grandfather and grandmother for nearly 10 years. Although I knew they were married I had no luck finding them in the indexes. Neither could I find my great grandmother in the 1881 census. The surnames were fairly uncommon being Sheridan and Tyzick. However due to genes reunited I was able to confirm that my great grandmother had taken her step father's name of Brannagan and married under that also the registrar had recorded my grandfather as Sherden. If it hadn't been for lateral thinking on the part of some members I may never have found them. Thanks everyone who helped.
